Brigitte Reiss-Andersen's career spans an impressive four decades at the top level of her industry. She is one of the most accomplished and respected makeup artists at work in the intersecting international world of fashion and celebrity.

Brigitte started her remarkable journey in Paris, working in the intimate circle of the Yves St Laurent couture house. She soon became a sought-after collaborator with renowned photographers Helmut Newton, Guy Bourdin, David Seidner and Hans Feurer. After moving to New York City, she built working relationships with Helmut Newton, Guy Bourdin, Arthur Elgort, Patrick Demarchelier, Irving Penn, and Annie Leibovitz among many others, collaborating on iconic editorial stories and advertising campaigns. To date, Reiss-Andersen boasts a portfolio of over 200 covers of prestigious publications including Vogue, Vanity Fair, Harper’s Bazaar and ELLE.

As celebrities replaced supermodels and the red carpet became the new runway, Brigitte adapted her expertise to the needs of an A-list clientele. Her discerning eye and fashion sense, attention to detail, knowledge of lighting as well as a versatile array of makeup techniques has earned her a solid reputation among A-list clients including Sigourney Weaver, Michelle Pfeiffer, Isabelle Huppert, Lupita Nyong’o, Mariah Carey and Taylor Swift. She has had the privilege of working with an impressive 29 Academy Award winners, including Meryl Streep, Tilda Swinton, and Jane Fonda. Brigitte’s experience in video and commercials includes work with legendary directors and cinematographers Roger Vadim, Brett Ratner, Michael Bay, Janusz Kaminski, Darius Khondji, Guiseppe Rotunno and Dante Spinotti and brands such as Marc Jacobs, Olay, Victoria’s secret She has consulted and collaborated on product development with Chanel, Procter and Gamble, L'Oreal and other global brands.
