Anthony Campbell is a fourth generation hairdresser born and raised in Philadelphia. He was trained in cutting and styling at Bumble & bumble in New York City before working for two years as first assistant to the highly technical session hairstylist Laurent Philippon.
Anthony's independent career as a freelance hairdresser gained traction quickly. He has long been sought after for photo shoots, red carpet events and fashion shows alike. He has worked with some of the world’s most illustrious photographers, including Annie Leibovitz, Mario Testino, Peter Lindbergh, Patrick Demarchelier, Mario Sorrenti, Terry O’Neill, Bruce Weber and David Bailey. Anthony has done red carpet styling for Hollywood’s brightest stars including Gwyneth Paltrow, Natalie Portman, Reese Witherspoon, Emma Stone, Sophia Loren, Uma Thurman, Robert DeNiro, Christopher Walken, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jack Nicholson.
Anthony has long-standing relationships cutting and styling some of music’s biggest names such as Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen, Aretha Franklin and Diana Ross. He has also worked with former United States Presidents Barack Obama, Bill Clinton, George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush and Jimmy Carter.
Anthony's work has appeared in international publications including Vogue, Vogue Italia, Vogue Paris, Harper’s Bazaar, W and Allure and many others.
