Alyx Liu (all pronouns) is a celebrity hairstylist, creative and personality based in Los Angeles with experience in fashion, beauty, editorial, commercial, television, film and music. Alyx’s hair art is edgy and sophisticated with elements that feel architectural, yet always rooted in beauty. Their clients include Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Faouzia, Miranda Kerr, and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan.
Most recently, they have returned from the Holy Fvck Tour with Demi Lovato; and have previously traveled with Ariana Grande on the Dangerous Woman, Sweetener and Thank You Next world tours. Having multiple music videos under their belt with Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato and Faouzia, they have also worked on Ariana’s many iconic campaigns and projects from her fragrances, Givenchy, Reebok, R.E.M beauty, NBC’s THE VOICE and Netflix’s DONT LOOK UP.
Bridging the gap between personality and the hairstyling world, Alyx has become influential on social media and a tastemaker in the beauty space for not only hair, but also makeup and fashion. Alyx is currently a brand ambassador for Shark Beauty, after previously being with T3 exclusively for 2 years. Alyx has existing relationships with the beauty and fashion world, and continues to work with brands like R.E.M. beauty hosting launch events in London and Paris for the brand.
With a foundation from the renowned Toni + Guy Hairdressing Academy, Alyx has trained under hairstylists from Chris Appleton, Christian Wood, Anthony Turner, John Ruggiero, Anna Cofone, Dennis Gots, Sascha Breuer, Ericka Verrett, among others.
Prior to working in hair, Alyx graduated from Pepperdine University with a B.A in Public Relations and worked in Talent Publicity as an Assistant Publicist for a year and a half at ID Public Relations. After much reflection, they decided to pursue their true passion and dream of becoming a hairstylist.
